    where do i download this at?

  13. fish on July 3rd, 2008 11:41 pm

    can you put in the search results the cached button ? Like google normal searches have ?

  14. pep on July 4th, 2008 7:24 pm

    Hello.
    Only a tip, could you enable again the “in cache” link to google result? that was very usefull for many dead link (for watch megaupload, rs, link only) and for forums that allow google bot to index his content but requires registration
    A must have in my opinion!!

  15. ShareMiner on July 4th, 2008 7:38 pm

    @pep and @fish

    It won’t be possible to add “cache” link to search results at this time. But, We can probably develop a tool which will extract download links from password protected forums and allow you to see its Google cache page.

  18. miki on July 8th, 2008 5:23 am

    How to add shareminer module to Firefox. Download ,Copy http://sharebee.com/87697e31 shareminer.xml file and copy to in the profile folder searchplugins.ok.

  19. xiagox on July 8th, 2008 4:57 pm

    @shareminer
    you might also be able to provide a pseudo-google-cache-link by simply making it as a google search for the result. This is in essence what I do already, which is, if I encounter an outdated page or private forum, I simply copy the url into google which might provide a cache. And would it be possible to have advanced options like before where you could select which sites to look for? Possibly saving these preferences as a cookie for the user?

  20. xiagox on July 8th, 2008 5:02 pm

    ACK! sry for the double post. But here’s another idea: If there’s anyway to filter known top sites? You know the sites that (generates?) has pages that are just your search with “crack”, “keygen” and “serial” at the end, tricking you into clicking expecting cool downloads. D:

  21. ShareMiner on July 8th, 2008 10:08 pm

    @xiagox

    We do filter those spammy warez top sites. If you have a list of such websites, feel free to send it to report@shareminer.com

    We will surely take action against such spam.

    EXCELLENT WORK FELLAS!

    Greetings from Chilee!

  23. Jeje on July 9th, 2008 10:44 pm

    thank’s a million for all the good work!Could not surf without it!

  24. Winds Of Creation on July 10th, 2008 7:30 am

    It’d be really nice to be able to search for only a certain website (Rapidshare, megaupload), or to sort by websites listed. Also, I’m not sure if you include Mediafire.com and Filedropper.com in your searches.

    Cheers!

  25. Adam on July 11th, 2008 8:00 pm

    Great site, I love it been using it forever lol!

    but I might just say to add a Cache options into the search because some forums require you to login, But with the cache you dont have to login!

    thanks!

    Firstly, Shareminer rocks. It’s the first place I go to find anything.

    That said, not having a direct link to a cached page is probably its biggest flaw. As a temporary workaround, simply copy the address and paste it into google, and google will give you the link to the cached page. It’s an extra step, but shit, Shareminer already did the hard part. Just make sure when copying and pasting the url, don’t include the “http://” part. Just start it with the “www.” or whatever.

    Keep up the awesome work

    i just install mycroft project search engine and everything works.

  29. Wattospace on July 16th, 2008 7:34 am

    Creo que mi pregunta sería la misma que hizo Jamie Martin “how do i download the firefox addon?”

    Quiero decir, ¿cómo puedo descargar el plugin de firefox?

  30. xiagox on July 18th, 2008 2:16 pm

    no hay ningun plugin de firefox, es simplemente un search que puedes encontrar aqui:
    http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html?name=shareminer&sherlock=yes&opensearch=yes&submitform=Search

    this is the shareminer search bar for firefox, there is no firefox plugin
